Good Reading

A long time ago when Jed came here for a visit (you know, that year when it was 60 degrees in August), he was reading this book about a murder committed by Fundamentalist Mormons.  I’m so glad he let me borrow it.  It was really interesting, and it explained the history of Mormonism and how the fundamentalists split off from the mainstream Mormons. 

Even though the Fundamentalist Mormons we’re hearing about in Texas are a far cry from your average, every day Latter Days, Owen opines that this probably ends Mitt Romney’s chance to be VP.

  2. Under the Banner of Heaven is an amazing book.

    Romney dealt with the Mormon issue already. What hurts his chances is that he proved to be an uninspiring candidate and McCain never liked him personally.
