Gay Flamingos

Good to know.

Gay flamingos are not uncommon, she added.

“If there aren’t enough females or they don’t hit it off with them, they will pair off with other males,” she said.

  1. I think it’s clear that there’s an insidious homosexual flamingo agenda that’s destroying the other birds’ Way Of Life.  Hopefully the straight flamingos will rise up and prevent this from occurring.

  2. I guess since the Flamingos only turn to homosexuality when there are no more mates to be had this tells us that the influence of homosexuality is an animal instinct that can be controlled by the infusion of more mates.

Is that what you meant by your narrow minded inference Scott?

Oh yea, one other thing Mr. Evolution, if this behavior was prevalent one thousand years ago the Flamingo would be out of existance so your disingenuous hatefilled comment would be non-existent. You see I have to explain this to your fourth grade mind, two males can not pro create. Neither can two females. Nice job though blurring the debate.

I await your rebuttal calling me a homophobe, or better yet resort to the usual debate stifler, moral equivalence.
That is your speciality, problem is the left has been doing that since the 30’s and it won’t wash here.

  3. The article dances around the question of sexual activity - so are the flamingos really gay or not?

Why couldn’t birds who have no family of their own buddy up and try to work something out? Not every couple is sexually motivated - companionship isn’t necessarily, either. Is it possible the researchers are projecting in order to be intriguing and win research dollars?

  5. If there was a bird with gay tendencies, isn’t it just classic that it’s the flamingo?  Makes more sense than a gay wren.

  6. Geez, you really don’t like scott, do you. I’ve read two posts, and in both of them you just unloaded on him unprovoked.

if this behavior was prevalent one thousand years ago the Flamingo would be out of existance [sic]

Homosexuality (in humans) has a long proud place in the western tradition.  From Achilles and Patroclus to Socrates to Michelangelo to the Bishop Baudri of Bourgueil to gay marriage in Florence during the Renaissance.
