French Venture Into Iraq

Is this a thaw?

BAGHDAD - France’s foreign minister paid an unannounced and highly symbolic visit to Baghdad on Sunday — the first by a senior French official since the war started and a gesture to the American effort in Iraq after years of icy relations over the U.S.-led invasion. Bernard Kouchner said Paris wanted to “turn the page” and look to the future.

Of course, it is an indication that Iraq is becoming safer if the French will venture into it.

  1. Yea, safer then the slums of Paris.
    Sarkozy is in.
The American left has to be apoplectic. A conservative in France, A conservative in England and a conservative in Germany.
I guess our standing in the world has been upgraded.

I expect the N.Y. Slimes to do a story about our unfavorable standing in the world any day now.

Oh yea, how about the elections in Indonesia, Philipines, Australia and Japan (all conservative)? South Korea? Same.
Finally the election in Israel, track it. The left is really winning hearts and minds. Heh Heh, in Detroit, L.A. and D.C.

  2. Almost forgot to mention, lock up your children Iraq, the U.N. is back and we know their proclivity for child molestation and pimp activities. The proving ground for that conclusion, Africa.
