  1. Maybe if he’s lucky someone will finally write him a check and he can run this on the teevee.

  2. That Recess, is the best comment I have heard yet about that man.

  3. Scott Walker needs to use that ad!!!

It articulates why reform needs to continue and what happens if we go back to the fiscal meltdown caused by Doyle!

  4. It is a good ad.

MU put out their latest poll though this morning.  It shows Tommy beating Baldwin for Senate 48-42.  But Neumann and Fitzgerald get crushed in head to head polling versus Baldwin.

I love me some Act 10.  But this is not what you want to run on for Senate.

  5. Regarding that MU poll, how do they do a poll and not test trial heats with Walker vs Falk or Barrett?  I think it’s very likely now that Walker is a goner with his slipping approval rating and last night in Sheboygan showed that recall elections are 100% about the incumbent and the challenger means very little.  And I keep hearing Barrett is in and the fact he is +3 on favorable/unfavorable has to give him confidence he’ll win.

  6. I see fake conservative poster “greg” or “greg from brookfield” is back posting here.

You can always tell his posts.  “I’m a conservative to the core, but our candidate ‘x’ is so weak here, I’m sure the public will find that out and we’ll lose badly on that issue or candidate”

He’s in some ways the Toyko Rose of Boots and Sabers. Drop in demoralizing posts under the guise of being part of the GOP.  Also posts on Sykes site as well.

  7. I find it hard to believe Baldwin beats anybody in a statewide poll.

  8. Steve,

How often do incumbents win with a 46% approval rating?  Attack me all you want, but Walker loses if he’s at 46% on election day.  I just post what IS, not what you would like it to be.

  9. Another interesting thing about the poll is how strong Obama is in WI.  An Iowa poll came out this week and showed his approval at 43% there and he lost to Santorum head-to-head.  For whatever reason, WI loves Obama and the GOP would be better off spending money in other states.

  10. WI sure loves Obama and I think it’s no use spending resources on WI when there are still other states to go for.

  11. last night in Sheboygan showed that recall elections are 100% about the incumbent and the challenger means very little.

Either your dumb or a hack, which is it? Because drawing that conclusion about recalls in general based on the Sheboygan recall requires one or the other.

  12. @Locke.  He’s not dumb or a hack. Actually I’m sure he’s a pretty bright guy to keep coming at things with new angles.

Rush or Belling would define him as a “seminar” caller.  One of those guys who always leads off the call with “Well, I’m a conservative, BUT…..”  The whole schtick is to get others listening or reading to think that he’s one of us and that because he’s one of us, we then should give his demoralizing or anti-conservative opinion more weight.

    It is a good routine.

  13. That’s right, keep your echo chamber strong and plug all the leaks and click your heel three times and Pope Santorum will become president.

I see myself getting involved in Fitz’s run for Senate…

  16. He is a strong leader hiding behind the skirts of his attorneys and secreacy agreements of his caucus members.

  17. I’ll have to try that “I’m a conservative, but…” Schtick. I actually am, just not the way it has come to be defined in recent years.  Fitz is a strong leader, huh? Just what the people want. Let’s see,
    1933:
    terrible economy
    present:
    terrible economy
    1933:
    unions and jews blamed
    present:
    unions and public workers blamed
I say I hope Fitz is the Republican standard bearer, although I doubt it.  I can’t think of anyone better. Let’s hope the people are smart enough not to repeat history in all respects looking for a “strong leader” ‘cause Fitz sure has striking similariies with that previous strong leader.

  19. Too funny reading the sniping going on here.

My impression of the ad is that it is full of declarations that are not true and getting worse every day. The budget is not balanced. The surplus has turned into a deficit that Walker is filling with monies meant to help with foreclosures. Republicans are hiding behind lawyers that give free services to sitting supreme court judges who will hear cases that the firm is involved in. Practically all Republicans signed a pledge of secrecy to not reveal the gerrymandering of districts and threw government transparency argument out the window.

This is all on the “real” news and Wisconsin people are not that dumb.
