Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever written these words, but you go Lindsey Graham. You’re right.
The war of words over Benghazi escalated Wednesday when President Obama told his critics to “go after me” rather than Ambassador Susan Rice. Those critics then said they would do exactly that.
“Mr. President, don’t think for one minute I don’t hold you ultimately responsible for Benghazi. I think you failed as Commander in Chief before, during, and after the attack,” said Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican.
Obama should man up and admit the mistakes in Libya.
Lindsey should man up in general.
This is the same Lindsey Graham and John McCain who defended Conaleeza Rice when she simoly repeated bad CIA information that caused us to lose thousands of lives in Iraq. ( See Cloud, Mushroom)
Neocons have no short team memory . It’s for this reason that the President told them to pound sand .
Hypocrites.
Turns out mcCain turned down a private briefing to do the press conference .
It reminds me of when he suspended his presidential campaign to fix the financial crisis . It was a cynical maneuver - as is today’s
I don’t know which was more stupid, what the President said or the press acting like it was some kind of stern warning.
Mark- calling the other side hypocrites does not change the behavior or the need for accountability. Time to grow up.
Sorry, please reread my post. The CIA seems to have a habit of getting it wrong..
“What did they know and when did they know it” is the question. “
Until we know what information was given when, this is all just speculation on the Senators part.
These same 2 Senators would still have us in Iraq. Their judgment has been wrong for 12 years on national security matters.
You only think that because you only hear about it when they are wrong, not the other 99% of the time. I learned a long time ago that intelligence is not about right or wrong buy degrees of grey.
Mark, I think the onus of hypocrisy is with Dems right now. Either mistaken intelligence is or is not a good excuse. If it is, don’t you think it is just about time to shut the hell up about losses in Iraq and how Bush was bad, wrong, evil, fascist, warmongering and tyrannical for forcing us to go there despite there being an almost unanimous vote in support of it from Coongress? If you had been defending Bush for the last 10 years about the decision to enter Iraq, your comments are right on. Care to point out a single time on anyone’s blog where you did that? Right now you are saying Obama admin relying on intel good, Bush relying on intel bad.
Yes, yes, we know, it is never about what Dem hands are doing. Only what those bad Republicans are doing or have done. Somehow Dem apples are differnt than Rep apples. Most of the time I think you are both full of horse apples.
Mark Maley, you post three separate comments to this blog, yet you do not make any point relating to the blog topic (Benghazi).
