  1. One-handed?

Use a modified Weaver at least for God’s sake!

  2. It’s close range, lift and fire, training.
Obviously an indoor range, which tells me it is close range training.
My training tells me that on the first day you train close range and get people that are unfamiliar with firing a weapon less nervous. My best guess is that they are firing at a 10-15 meter target.
    Usual stuff really.

I always find women are actually GREAT shots. (there driving leads much to be desired but) wink (women drivers no survivors) but cold out of the box i find they shoot pretty damn good.

  4. As we joke of this photo let’s remember that women are not even allowed to drive a car in Moslem lands.
These women in the photo’s are pioneers and should be accorded status of hero.
With the exception of Ayan Hirsi Ali, why has the womens rights movement not acknowledged the progress made in Iraq?
It doesn’t serve their agenda. If they really cared about womens rights they would embrace what has happened in Iraq. They won’t because they are hypocrites.

    displaced:

The better question would be why do feminists ignore ALL the plights of women is Muslim nations?

Not being able to drive is, in some places, the tip of the iceberg…

Women can’t vote, drive, be educated, work, receive medical treatment (because all doctors are men and they cannot see women), leave their houses without escort, be seen IN their houses (so windows are covered with heavy curtains or painted black), be heard laughing, wear nail polish or make-up, wear shoes that make noise, laugh/sneeze or be heard in public, etc.

And don’t even get me started on “honor” killings - which are rampant not only in Muslim nations, but are rising at alarming rates in places like Germany and the UK.  They are brutal in their dehumanizing and degrading of women, and yet few say anything about it.

One must wonder why that is…

  6. <Sigh>

Two steps forward, one step back. Are the headscarves part of the regulation uniform? Youbetcha.

I’m glad the sisters are hitting the streets, but the Muslim world has a long way to go.

  7. Eh, you don’t have to dress like a capitalist to think like one. Indians ran around naked but their women weren’t “liberated”.
