Because it’s been a busy day, and I have nothing better to post.
Favorite song by Elvis of all-time. I have that and the Fine Young Cannibals cover of it on my IPOD.
I’m curious when this was shot. He really looked out of it and uninspired. Just curious how close in time to when he died.
I don’t think it’s my favorite Elvis song of all time, but it’s certainly my favorite post-1960 Elvis song.
Dwight Yoakum’s cover of it is pretty good, too.
Hands down my Mom’s favorite song. I still remember when he died, I was in, of all places a “Brownie” meeting. I remember the troop leaders getting all teary eyed when they talked about it and as a 5-year old I just couldn’t understand. Great music! Just took me a few more decades to start listening to it.
I believe that is the Hawaii concert broadcast by network T.V.
The first time I ever watched him (besides in a movie) and that song stood out to me. Like you Katrina it took me a couple decades to embrace my internal Elvis fascination.
Thanks to the guy’s for posting it.
