I drove to St. Paul yesterday for business. I went 318.6 miles in 4 hours and 32 minutes, so I’m certain there was a rift in the space/time continuum. I came back this afternoon.
As usual, there were an inordinate number of dumbasses on the road. Word to the wise… if you want to go 65, move to the slow lane. If you want to pass someone, please take fewer than 28 miles to do so.
If you plan to drink and drive, please stay in the right lane and try to keep from weaving.
I listened to the entire soundtrack of Les Miserables… twice. If you know it, what’s your favorite song? I admit, it’s a close tie between about six different songs, but at the moment, I’m a bit partial to Drink With Me.
My favorites vary. My favorites of those listed are “Stars,”“One Day More,” “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” (Michael Ball’s version), and “The Confrontation” because that one is so well done by Phillip Quast and Colm Wilkenson.
You didn’t include “On My Own.” Shame on you.
Huh?
Master of the House isn’t on your list?
In an earlier life I was part of a group that brought the play from London to New York. Saw it in NYC with the original cast. Twice.
I share your pain with crappy drivers. I make a big commute a couple of times a week.
Yeah, Master of the House is an entertaining tune! I was just in a more somber mood. That’s why I put “other.”
Wendy, I knew there was a reason I liked you!
It also jumped out at me that he left “On My Own” off of the list!
I voted for “Do You Hear the People Sing?” simply because I that’s what I started singing as soon as I saw the Les Miz reference. I guess it’s my mood right now.
I would add that the Finale always makes me cry like a baby - even when I’m just listening to the soundtrack and not watching the show. “A Heart Full of Love” is sometimes at the top of my list. For really somber times, it’s gotta be “I Dreamed a Dream.” I have to admit, the show really does have a song for every mood.
