Heh.
We linked last week to a web page sponsored by the Alaska Democratic Party, which attacks Sen. Ted Stevens and credits Governor Sarah Palin for killing the Bridge to Nowhere. Our post is here.
Today, we learned that the web page has been pulled. National Democrats apparently want to rewrite history and say that Palin did not kill the Bridge to Nowhere. Fortunately, we saved a screen shot (below) of the page so the facts could not be buried.
A Democrat scrubbing clean a website like some sort of Orwellian wet dream where the truth is rewritten…
Where do I start the list?
What did happen to the $223 million that Congress sent to Alaska?
Was it returned to the Feds?

How about Lakeshore Laments.
pjr,
It was never sent to Alaska. Earmark was killed.
And as for your remark about my blog; I have all my archives saved on a Microsoft Word document - four to be exact - and the site can be accessed on the Internet Archive. The site no longer exists in its former status because I was told to do so as a condition of my employment.
As for some Democrats who’ve scrubbed their sites clean include the Obama campaign, which redid its entire section on the Surge in Iraq, and Steve Kagen, who’s 2006 Campaign Website is no longer accessible - even on the Internet Archive.
The “Good Doctor” has a lot of old statements he wants hidden no doubt…especially about government spending and earmarks from October 2006.
They weren’t called “Investments” back then by him.

As usual Kev, not quite right.
The earmark was taken out, not the appropriation.
Congress removed Gravina’s earmarks, tossing that money into Alaska’s general transportation pot to be used however the state chose. McCain wasn’t there for that vote, either.

And speaking of;
scrubbing clean a website like some sort of Orwellian wet dream where the truth is rewritten…
Here’s another for your list.
In light of the furor over the “bridge to nowhere,” Alaska’s governor opted to use the money for other pursuits.

Surely nothing more than a coincidence.
One of the complete series of lying in her acceptance speech and beyond, the simple truth is Palin became governor in December 2006. Congress killed the bridge in November 2005. Her saying “thanks but no thanks” is a lie.
It is unfortunate that the Democrats had that on their site. But it just is not true so why would they leave it up?
Sad that a party that prides itself on morality lets someone run around who has not said one true thing except “I have five kids” and “my husband Todd.”
I know you have someone who will do what you want her to do, but does she have to lie compulsively. Why not run Jon Lovitz?
You guys really want to fight a battle on earmarks?
That one for the hospital Michelle Obama does legal services for ought to be interesting…
You guys really want to fight a battle on earmarks?
No Kev, I want to fight a battle with you.
I’ll even let you choose the arena and your weapons.
What hospital would that be Kev?
