There are a lot of folks who bag on companies when they have poor customer service, and rightly so. But it is incumbent on us, then, to share good stories too. Today my darling wife booked a little trip for us on Taca Airlines. In the process, our credit card was declined. Within seconds, she received a call from the credit card company asking if the charge was OK (that’s why it was declined and it was OK). At almost the same time, I received a call on my cell phone from an agent at Taca offering to help. They saw that something was going wrong online. It only took a few minutes and we were all booked.
Great service from one company looking out for us and another looking to help us complete a transaction.
Awesome.
So funny. Same thing happened to me with a little airline in Costa Rica, Nature Air, and I got a call from credit card company said they refused charge and that they do for all charges in Costa Rica, Puerto Rica, and the area, especially if an online purchase.
Last time we went we called airline prior to departure to tell them we were in Costa Rica, I suggest anyone traveling out of the country do the same! Loved the security.
We always call the credit card company before we go anywhere outside the country, but I never thought to call before booking a flight. They were RIGHT on it, though, and that was impressive.
The case strap on my then 8-year-old Jason binoculars broke and the binocs hit the floor, knocking them out of alignment. I sent them to Jason to determine if they’re worth fixing. Three days later, a new pair (with a new case) arrived at the house….no charge. Instant brand loyalty.
