Is a tide turning in Britain?
Conservative Boris Johnson has defeated the ruling Labour Party’s two-term mayor of London, election officials announced Friday.
The results cap a miserable election for Labour, which appeared headed for its biggest nationwide council losses in 40 years.
Great.
Their money’s worth more than our money, and now their politicians are more valuable too. If they didn’t inbreed I’d be entirely outta stuff to make fun of ‘em for…

Posted by festplatte wiederherstellen on May 03, 2008 at 0157 hrs“I do not for one minute believe that this election shows that London has been transformed overnight into a conservative city,” said Johnson, his trademark blond hair a tussled mess moments after results were announced at City Hall.
“But I do hope it does show that the Conservatives have changed into a party that can be trusted again.”

He said he’ll work to cut crime, improve public transportation, protect London’s green spaces and create affordable housing.
Sounds like a platform you could get behind. Right, Owen?

From backboris.com…
If Ken Livingstone wins on Thursday, it is another four long years of waste, deceit, scandal, cronyism, crime and congestion. He will revert to form - nothing will change and Livingstone and Labour will think they can continue to ignore Londoners real concerns.
Real concerns...like the radical muslim problem. Their archbishop has already thrown in the towel for shari’a law, they won’t let government officials say “Islamic extremists”, and according to their own government, Islamic extremists have infiltrated security positions in the government and passed info on to terrorist groups.
And they have found the 3 Little Pigs to be “too offensive” to muslims.
I don’t expect much to change with Boris running London. He’s one man in a city full of spineless dhimmis who continue to look the other way. Sure we won’t get to hear him ripping the USA while he’s hugging Hugo Chavez, but the real problem threatening the safety of London will be overlooked.

In his very short speech he said, tomorrow we begin the hard work, but tonight, we drink!
