Congress’ Approval Rating Falls to 9%

Ouch.

The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.

  1. And who runs the House and the Senate?  Why it’s the Democrats.  Bush has almost 3 times the popularity of them buffons.

  3. Most Americans can’t name their Member of Congress.

On the other hand, most Americans are aware of the current President.

Perhaps most Americans don’t understand that the Congress is a co-equal branch of government, along with the Executive and Supreme Court, although thay might be excused for the confusion that goes on nowadays.

It’s unfortunate that the President is failing, and I mean that sincerely.  But it seems like the federal government is failing overall.

I wonder what the response would be if asked about the job performance of the Supreme Court?

I think Pelosi is a huge disappointment, and hopefully the Dems will dump her in 2009, along with Reid.

  4. Pelosi and Reid are doing a bang up job. 9% that is too funny.

And everyone is saying the Dems have the advantage in the fall? I’m hoping Reid gets removed from leadership first - as bad as Pelosi is - Reid is just dreadful.
