Looks like the Chinese may be up to no good again.
Britain has privately complained to Beijing that Chinese-made weapons are being used by the Taleban to attack British troops in Afghanistan.
The BBC has been told that on several occasions Chinese arms have been recovered after attacks on British and American troops by Afghan insurgents.
The authorities in Beijing have promised to carry out an investigation.
PRC is at war with the US; has been for 40 years, will remain so until someone goes down—either us or them.
Note that Hsu doesn’t seem to have any earned income to justify his bazillion-dollar HRC gifting program.
I think this is more of a case of still up to no good as much as it is up to no good again. I’m not going to go as far as dad29 and say we’re at war with the Chinese, but this is definitely not a good development.
The Chinese, budding capitalists that they are, have seen an area where they can make a lot of money, and are moving right in. I’m talking about arms sales, an area where the US laps the field several times over when it comes to total arms sales worldwide. We shouldn’t be surprised when some of these weapons fall into the hands of people with whom we don’t agree. What we should be surprised about is that we never hear about the damage done by American arms in the hands of others around the world.
Shouldn’t conservatives be against this sort of gun control as well? I mean, the taliban is going to get guns no matter what the gun laws are right?

I would presume that the USA has a law against its own armaments being manufactured anywhere else but the USA, so at least it’s not Chinese-made guns being sold off the back of trucks to all sides in Iraq. It’s good-old American-made stolen guns.
APC, the PRC government is at war with US—that’s what I said. I did NOT say that we were at war with PRC.
But PRC is happy to spread the joy around. After their successful hack of SecDef Gates’ computer in June, they hacked damn near the entire German Gummint’s system last week.
And, by the way, the Chinese also managed to sell a lot of PRC-made AK’s to a street gang in LosAngeles several years ago, during the Bubba Administration, John…
Fair enough, dad29, although that seems like a pretty narrow distinction. I suppose tainted food, toothpaste, and toys could be considered weapons of a sort, though.
