China Needs More Girls

Of course, the only moral difference between China and America, in this regard, is that we kill kids without regard to gender.

The Chinese government says it is drafting new laws to tackle the growing gender imbalance caused by the widespread abortion of female foetuses.

The practice is already banned, but new rules are expected to set out specific punishments for parents and doctors.

China’s Family Planning Association (CFPC) has revealed the extent of the imbalance - in one city there are eight young boys for every five girls.

Experts fear the phenomenon could have unpredictable social consequences.

Some believe that with millions of men unable to find a wife, there could be risks of increasing anti-social and violent behaviour.

    Actually, this is one of my concerns about legalizing polygamy.

  5. Wikipedia says “In social anthropology, polygamy is the practice of marriage to more than one spouse simultaneously. Historically, polygamy has been practiced as polygyny (one man having more than one wife), or as polyandry (one woman having more than one husband), or, less commonly as “polygamy” (having many wives and many husbands at one time).”

    “Bigamy” means having one wife too many.  Some say “monogamy” means the same.

    Sounds like Southeastern Wisconsin with respect to women in their mid-20’s to mid-30’s (the attractive, educated and stable-minded ones anyway) who bail out to go find a better life in places like NYC, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.

    Leaves the area with mostly fatties and brainless bimbos for all the guys to woo.
