China Gets Hummer

Meh.

General Motors (GM) has agreed to sell its iconic Hummer brand to Chinese firm Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery for an undisclosed fee.

The two parties had been in talks about the sale for a number of months.

  1. I wonder what they will do with the brand.  I have a hard time believing that the kind of person who drives a Hummer will drive a Chinese Hummer.  That would be like a Chinese Harley.

  2. Then Chinese firm Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery gets all the patents: Competition for Honda, Toyota, Russian, etc., heavy truck firms, especially in military and rough terrain industry conditions.

  3. If only they were required to adhere to the industry destroying regulations American firms are forced to work under in order for this sale to be finalized.
