Carlson Not to Run

Good.

The leader of the West Bend School Board will not be seeking another term on the governing body when the election rolls around this spring.

School Board President Joe Carlson of West Bend filed a notification of non-candidacy with the district this week. The paperwork is a requirement for incumbents not seeking re-election.

  1.   “I just felt it’s time to give some other people a chance to run,” Carlson said. “I don’t believe that people should be on boards forever. And i think it is good to have some turnover.”

    Or, I wouldn’t of won??

  4. You anonymous little ankle biters make me tired.
Grow a pair, identify yourselves, and run for office.

  6. Charlie,

I don’t think Crusher’s ego requires his public servitude to be high profile.  Just sayin’

Try wearing boxer shorts and invest in a good talcum, your chafing has become an obvious irritant.

  8. Charlie,

You are wasting your time if you expect any of the psuedonym bloggers on here to actually run for office.

It is waaaaay to easy for them to hide behind their computer screens and make unsubstantiated accusations or occasionally come to an annual meeting and shout loudly, then disappear into the crowd.

  11. My God, you are whiny.  I do love the ‘well, then run for office’ mantra.  Maybe I can get WEAC to supply me with a similar set of kneepads.

Fact is, Kris… I’m now an ex-longterm WB resident.  You are no longer my problem.

  12. Good then you can stop commenting on things that don’t concern you.

There is no whining on this end.  i just get tired of listening to people bitch about things and then not want to be a part of the solution.  It takes no courage or fortitude or character to sit at a computer and whine like you do so often.

  13. bitch about things?

like 20% tax to the max over two years?  You have the fatal combination of arrogance and incompetence.  WB residents’ part of the solution will come in April….

  14. whatever.  If you actually understood the school funding formula I would consider your comments worthwhile.

Don’t think for a second that the WB solution won’t have something to do with a negative backlash against the type of candidates that you seem to think are going to win.

Funny, didn’t WB hire a consultant to help with the school funding formula?

  16. Maybe Kris can teach me the logisitics of the convoluted school funding formula and I can teach him to balance an effing checkbook….

  17. Kris
What did it cost to rent this funding formula consultant?

Your a board member and a teacher, you must know how to communicate, why didnt you explain it to the public and save us all a few bucks?
