That’s Barrett’s Milwaukee for you.
“I even thought about going to Milwaukee in an insane moment,” Peter said. “Everybody that I know that has or had businesses in Milwaukee they’ve all moved out just because of the politics and the nickel and diming that goes on. The fee thing. Drainage fees and if your parking lot is too big you’re going to pay a tax on that or you have to build a retention pond. There’s just a bunch of stuff that I was finding that didn’t make that happy.”
Northwestern Extract completed the moving process last week and owner Bill Peter said the move was the culmination of a two-year process that saw it expand from a 13,000-square foot facility in Brookfield.
Seems he did not like Waukesha County much either.
Northwestern Extract is currently located in Brookfield not Milwaukee.
No public policy should be judged based on testimony that begins “everybody that I know…”
Exactly right George. While personal testimony is quite acceptable, “everybody I know” is hearsay.
It’s just as easy to look at the the honest facts and figures… and more accurate. According to those, Tom Barrett’s Milwaukee is the 4th most impoverished city in the entire nation. No grey area there.
I wonder if the voters in Wisconsin are hoping that Barrett can bring that same vision to the whole state?
