Brat Fry 2007

I went to the Washington County GOP brat fry this evening.  As usual, it was a great time.  FYI, Fred Thompson won the straw poll with 59% of the vote. 

Vicki McKenna came and spoke to us for a bit.  She was quite entertaining and it was nice to chat with her again.  She also gave me some tips for my new phone.

One thing that struck me was the change in mood from the last GOP gathering I attended.  The grassroots folks seems more positive and energized than I had seen them in some time.  It seems that the Assembly leadership’s hard line on the budget is energizing the base.
