Got a few minutes? Want to have a chuckle?
Go read this court decision. (via Caaflog).
Short version:
(1) birther attorney files lawsuit to stop deployment of an Army officer based on birther theories;
(2) judges tell her to stop wasting the courts’ time;
(3) attorney keeps it up;
(4) ???;
(5) PROFIT!!!
This country has gone absolutely freaking insane. It’s fascinating.
Jason - I think I agree, but I was facinated long ago watching it unfold as BDS. I am hoping for a true third-party.
Yeah, that BDS was almost identical to the current insanity…totally.
You know what I find stunning…. now that we have a democrat for pres, the anti-war movement has all but disappeared. No more Cindy Sheehan’s camping out along side Texas roads. No more Daily KOS strategy meetings about the war. The hypocrisy is absolutely stunning - and the only thing that has changed in the war is the president…. THE ONLY THING.
Yeah, the BDS of the past couple years is completely different than today… *BLINK*
Oh, and it’s not the birthers have any resemblance like the “Bush knew 9/11 was coming” or “Bush helped Osama’s family get out of the country”, or even “The gvt actually destroyed the WTC buildings”, and finally “It wasn’t a plane that crashed into the Pentagon, it was a missle”.
Sure, the differences between the nutjob groups of today and 8 years ago are innumerable… *GIANT FUCKING BLINK*
That’s a good analogy, I always forget about the 9/11 truthers. I think most of that was motivated by an irrational dislike of George Bush. Fair to say that there are retard extremists on both sides.
Then again, I don’t recall the truthers receiving express encouragement from Democratic politicians or “the liberal media” back then. As far as I remember there were no members of Congress pandering to those psychos, as there are with the birthers. And the left wing media generally ignored them, where the birthers are taken somewhat seriously, and occasionally even celebrated on FOX NEWS and talk radio.
I think the whole thing speaks more to the stupidity and hypocrisy of culture warriors in general than it does to the traits of one team or the other.

I couldn’t agree more, Jason!
