Barrett Campaign Office Operated Without a Permit

Shouldn’t the Mayor have some clue about how his own city uses permits?

If anyone should know that a new tenant in a Milwaukee office building might need a city-issued occupancy permit, it would be Mayor Tom Barrett and his campaign.

Or so you’d think.

But a spokesman for Barrett’s campaign conceded this week that it failed to get just such a permit from the city Department of Neighborhood Services before moving into a downtown office building at Old World Third St. and W. Wells St., not far from City Hall.

City officials say the permits are necessary to make sure buildings are safe.

“This was an innocent situation,” Barrett spokesman Phil Walzak said of the failure to get the occupancy permit.

1. Typical left wing arrogant nut job it all plays out the same in Washington as well. They are above normal people the same laws designed to keep us grounded and writing checks do not apply to them.
   Typical socialist fashion the top government leaders reap all the rewards and the other 99% are peasant class.

   Lets face it the man is better then all of us he should not have to deal with society or rules in any way, he gets a free pass to the head of line. To be born a prince like Tom, life is good.
