Bad Day In the Markets

There’s the story of the markets today.

Looks like a good time to get some deals. It’s not the end of the world, folks.  Markets need down times to flush out the garbage.

The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) lost 777.68, surpassing the 684.81 loss on Sept. 17, 2001 - the first trading day after the September 11 attacks. However the 7% decline does not rank among the top 10 percentage declines.

  1. I’m torn here, because I know it affects me negatively.  I’m leaning toward allowing the market to take a dump and allowing the guilty to take their lumps in this.  As I told my daughter, nobody will die from this.

  5. And now the House goes on vacation for 2 days, until Thursday.  So look for the market tocome down even more.  The House really doesn’t care.

Yeah, I feel the same way.  It’s going to hurt, but failure has to be an option in order to keep the markets from doing more stupid things.
