Ahnold Opines

Heh

But Schwarzenegger said that gun laws and mental health guidance need reform, not Hollywood.

“How can we do better with gun laws?” asked Schwarzenegger. “If there are any loopholes, if there’s a problem, let’s analyze it ... Are we really dealing with the mental problems the right way as a society?”

In terms of parenting, the former politician alluded to the Connecticut killer Adam Lanza’s mother, Nancy, who was also shot and killed by her own son on that tragic day.

“Does a mother need to collect guns and take her little kids shooting?” he asked.

“Everything has to be analyzed; no stone unturned,” he added. “I think that’s what we owe to our people.”

So in the same breath he definitively states that Hollywood’s trade in violent movies has absolutely nothiing to do with anything and ALSO says that we myst analyze everything. If we have to analyze everything, then why not the type of entertainment that has made Schwarzenegger millions?

  1. “Does a mother need to collect guns and take her little kids shooting?” he asked. A resounding YES if that is what she enjoys as well as the children. Do we need to take the kids to movies? I don’t but can I say no one else does either. We read at night, Play Daddy is a nightly thing were they run around the living room and I knock them down as they try to cross the line…much tickling occurs, we all get worn out and then it is time for them to go to bed and I to get on with the chores. I do not have a problem with exploring all options but it seems that all of the options focus on the object in question not the actual behaviour. Got a problem with fat kids? Take away spoons…does that make sense?
