An analysis of contributions to the Obama and McCain campaign shows that ABC employees contributed more than $160,000 to the Obama campaign versus less than $5,000 to the McCain campaign.
And no surprise that the list of McCain contributors is incomplete. Where, for example, is George Bodenheimer, President of ABC Sports, who gave $1000 to the McCain campaign?
Yes, people who work in media—especially those who aren’t on the business side—lean left for a number of reasons. But that doesn’t excuse posts that regurgitate incorrect information.
ABC HEARTS OBAMA
ABC is refusing to air paid ads during its White House health care presentation, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, including a paid-for alternative viewpoint!
The development comes a day after the network denied a request by the Republican National Committee to feature a representative of the party’s views during the Obama special.
Conservatives for Patients Rights requested the rates to buy a 60-second spot immediately preceding ‘Prescription for America’.
Statement from Rick Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patients Rights:
“It is unfortunate - and unusual - that ABC is refusing to accept paid advertising that would present an alternative viewpoint for the White House health care event. Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a pricetag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers’ money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue and ABC’s decision - as of now - to exclude even paid advertisements that present an alternative view does a disservice to the public. Our organization is more than willing to purchase ad time on ABC to present an alternative viewpoint and our hope is that ABC will reconsider having such viewpoints be part of this crucial debate for the American people. We were surprised to hear that paid advertisements would not be accepted when we inquired and we would certainly be open to purchasing time if ABC would reconsider.”

ABC = All Barry Channel
I’m watching FOX.
So this makes Owen a supporter of the Fairness Doctrine, no?
If not, what’s your complaint?
I don’t think this has to do with “fair”... the lefties are always the ones calling for things to be “fair”. I think this has to do with hypocrisy. IMO
Guess those campaign contributions are paying off ...
Oh come on Spinal Tap ... you know very well the difference. The shows most frequently targeted for ‘The Fairness Doctrine’ are opinion shows, where the host of the show presents his particular opinion on issues of the day etc. There is no proclomation of balance or objectivity ... its talk radio, where conservative commentators have successfully managed to win huge listening audiences. Liberals target these shows, because they feel threatened by the success of the shows that provide an unfiltered conservative voice on the airwaves.
On the other hande, Network news departments have continued to claim they are simply objective reporters of the news. I would be fine with this if ABC news would simply state publicly what the rest of us already know. That they support Obama, they are advocating for the advancement of his political agenda, and they make no claims of any sort of journalistic objectivity in thier nightly newscasts.
But so long as they are going to be a bunch of phonies claiming to simply be ‘objectively reporting the news’, I will continue to rail on them for their phoniness and hypocrisy.
That’s my issue. Major media outlets all claim to be objective when facts show otherwise. Mom always told never trust anybody that says trust me. Or advertises that you can trust in them.
