  2. This kind of thing really makes me quite angry:  There is nowhere in the country where John McCain could get elected as a Democrat.  He is not a Democrat.  He’s not even a liberal Republican.

  3. I’m struggling with this, too.  McCain isn’t a Republican party loyalist, he’s his own man.  But his periodic feuds with his party’s leadership should not b e confused with being a Democrat.  As Jay points out, Democrats wouldn’t elect him dog catcher.

  5. I think it’s a fair caricature.  No, McCain is not a liberal, but he’s not a conservative either and, typically, the Republican party has been the home of conservatives.

  6. I have a litmus test.  Global warming is a name of anti-American fraudulent liberal tax aiming at destroying the American way of life and bringing life back to the Stone Ages. Clearly global warming has nothing to do with the freezing weather all over planet earth that shows the beginning of global cooling.

    Global warming is the ‘litmus test’ for progressive socialistic liberals and RINO’s that try to present themselves as conservatives. If the new standard that McCain is defining includes Global warming and has to have a place under the Big GOP tent, then I don’t want it. What about the Independent Republican Party, or Constitutional Party, or the Secessionists!
