A Fantasy Footballer’s Lament

Drew Brees, the QB of the Saints, is my QB on my remaining fantasy football team.  I’m in the 2nd round of the playoffs in one of my leagues.  I didn’t make the playoffs in the other one.  In any case, the Saints play the Cowboys this evening.  The best case for me is for it to be a shootout with Brees tossing 5 or 6 touchdowns, but the Cowboys winning the game in a squeaker.

1. Should be one heck of a shootout.

2. If Brees throws 5 or 6 TDs, the game will be a blowout.  Dallas hasn’t shown it can score that many points.

3. I started my backup QB instead of Big Ben because I didn’t want to have to root for him to do well against the Pack.  Who knew he would throw for 500 yards.  Oh well.
