$10,500 for Survey

Ginny reports...

The West Bend District #1 Referendum Survey that was mailed out to all of you this week, filled with flaws (see my previous post from June 29th), cost us nearly ELEVEN GRAND.

While that cost for a mailed survey does not seem excessive to me, in general, the survey itself is very flawed for that kind of money.  For example, anyone can fill out the survey online without any authentication that one lives in the district.  This invalidates the results because it could be hopelessly skewed by people who will not vote on the referendum.  Also, many of the questions are flawed.  For instance, one question asks you to rank the problems with the schools without offering a “none of the above.”

If it were a good survey, $11k seems high, but not unreasonable.  Given this particular survey, it was a complete waste of money.

  1. These surveys are worthless. They are pulling this same crap in Germantown. They want to spend money on all kinds of crazy buildings we don’t need and the taxpayers are calling them on their boondoogle(s).

I can save everyone a lot of money. Find a cheaper way to do what you need done and people will vote for it if there really is a need.
