1,000 Days Without a Budget Proposal from Senate Dems

They don’t want to go on record with their priorities.

Senate Republicans slammed their Democratic colleagues on Tuesday for not passing a budget in exactly 1,000 days, accusing Democrats of shirking their duty in a period of soaring deficits.

  2. If Congress were evaluated like public school teachers, each member would get a minimum ($50k) wage for their work this year. We could put the other $100k+ of their salaries toward the deficit, and put them on notice that we aren’t subsidizing their political sideshow anymore.

    Oh, and they can start pitching in more for healthcare and retirement.

  4. Woohoo! JM and I see eye to eye on something though I would take it one step further and say not only this year but every year. The voters(employers) decide salary and bennies not the employee.
