Doyle Wants to Spend Federal Handout on Pet Projects that Locals Don’t Want

I’m sure that the folks over at the West Bend School District are getting hopeful.

Doyle said he wants to find a way to spend the federal cash on school building programs that doesn’t hurt districts whose voters were willing to raise their property taxes. In other districts, voters who killed school building projects to avoid raising their property taxes may be “thrilled” to have federal money pay for the construction, he said.
