The band is small this year. In my day, the first game would have seen closer to 400 band members - stretching the band from sideline to sideline. By November there would be closer to 300.
The first drill is always somewhat rudimentary, but they did it well.
UPDATE: Jed tells me that my memory is faulty. The band was about the same size when we were there. But it looks smaller for some reason. I’m wondering if they changed the block some. Or… my memory is just off. It happens.

Van Hollen’s first TV ad starts today.
It’s a pretty typical introductory ad. Nothing really special except that it’ll be playing all over the place. I think that Falk is supposed to have some ads starting in the Milwaukee market soon too.
The Van Hollen campaign is saying that this TV ad is the first in a series that will be running over the next few weeks. They also say that they’ll be rotating in a new radio ad.
Say the tongue twister correctly, or else…
