Flashback to…....... 1974. Now THAT was a good year.
Without cheating, name the year.
If you happen to have any money left over after contributing to Haiti relief, Nashville flood relief, oil spill relief, your local food pantry, and various charities and causes which are important to you, I strongly, strongly urge you to contribute to the Send Wendy to Australia to See Her Musical Hero, Anthony Warlow, Perform in His New Musical, ‘Dr. Zhivago’ Fund. Each and every penny you contribute will make someone very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very happy.
And I promise with all of my heart that if I get to go I will only post one more “Warlow Wednesday” to summarize the trip.
Volunteers are standing by to take your call. Thank you.
(I’m just kidding, you know. I’ll never stop posting Warlow Wednesdays.)
He’s no Anthony Warlow, but this is my favorite Mika song from the CD I rediscovered under the seat of my car.
The perfect break-up song for just about any kind of relationship.
Lest you think we only listen to showtunes, this is daughter #3’s favorite song:
Before Jed takes away my posting privileges, here’s a song for Mrs. E. (Enjoy your lunch!)
The first time I heard this song, it was in the context of the Super Bowl and it was sung by Jennifer Holiday.
Tomorrow is the last day of school for my kids. As is typical for them, the excitement made them sing showtunes. Daughter #2 burst into song as soon as we left the garage with this one (Sorry, Jed):
Featuring an old friend of ours on guitar and vocals.
Since Owen insists on posting nothing but showtunes…
And now, a regularly scheduled break to force a little culture into you.
My dream vacation would be to go to Australia solely to see Anthony Warlow perform. He could sing the phone book, for all I care, but here he is singing “Music of the Night.”
Start your body counts…
One of the benefits of working at Six Flags in the 1990s was the opportunity to watch (over and over and over for several months) animated classics like “Rabbit Seasoning.” This particular segment brought many dramatic reenactments by my coworkers.
