Squirrel Looking In the Window

What?  You thought the title was an euphemism for something?

There actually is a story behind that picture (yes, it’s from our house a few days ago).

New Black Panther Party Admits to Voter Intimidation

Nice. So they admit that their members used batons to intimidate voters based on their race at a voting place and welcome those members back into their party.  The New Black Panther Party is the KKK of the 21st century.

Hat tip Big Government.

Obama Frustrated That American People Don’t Buy His Crap Anymore

Y’all dirty hilbillies are just two ignant to understand Obamer’s smartness

Gibbs said Obama is frustrated but understands the public doesn’t realize how much worse things would be if he had not acted as he did.

Obama is “frustrated in the sense that, look, obviously, you would like everyone to look back and say, ‘Here’s where I am, and here’s where I could have been,’” Gibbs said. “It’s understandable why people don’t necessarily think that.

The problem for Obama is not that people don’t understand.  It’s that they don’t believe.  We remember the graphs.  We remember the promises.  We remember the lies.  Obama didn’t sell the stimulus as “it’ll still suck, but it won’t be as bad.”  He sold it as, “this will bring about economic recovery.”  Now that it has not lived up to his promises, he is trying to re-sell it under a different marketing scheme.  The problem is, we all still remember the original sales job and just don’t believe him.

Man Disarms Attackers

Awesome.

A couple of young robbers got more than they bargained for when they tried to shake down a 47-year-old man outside a liquor store near N. 41st and W. Burleigh streets, police say.

After purchasing a bottle of liquor, the 47-year-old was confronted by the two robbers, and one presented a handgun, which police later discovered was a BB gun. Thinking quickly, the man used the bottle knock the gun from the robber’s hands, causing the two robbers to flee the scene, according to a release from police.

A citizen in the area had witnessed two youths practicing “their masking and unmasking technique,” police said, and based on that description police were able to take one of the 15-year-old suspects into custody. Soon after, the other 15-year-old was taken into custody, police said.

Let’s hope he’s not prosecuted for carrying a concealed bottle.

Releasing Felons

Another Doyle gift… more felons on the streets.

Under the early-release program, Corrections Secretary Rick Raemisch has the authority to release nonviolent inmates who have less than a year left on their sentences and meet certain criteria. So far, Raemisch has approved the release of 45 felons through the program.

But the number of inmates released each month through early release has plummeted since January, when 29 inmates were released, agency records show.

Since then, 16 inmates have been released, with only two inmates let out in February and March.

Melissa Roberts, executive assistant to Raemisch, said the early-release numbers are down because more inmates are being released on different tracks associated with the reforms, including the Earned Release Review Commission, formerly the parole board, which has released 113 inmates.
