First off, GOP3.com live blogged the event. I was late and arrived right about the time that they left. I’m very thankful that they could fill me in as to what happened before I got there.
The event went well. Thank you very much to Wispolitics, Marquette University, and everybody else who was involved. It was a good experience.
Since it’s now several hours after the fact and I’m done with the inaugural mowing of my lawn, here are a few random comments on the event…
- Eugene Kane is smaller than I expected. He’s funny, but predictable. I couldn’t get over my disgust at his inherent racism. Que sera sera.
- My panel went well, I thought. As expected, I went off the cuff… but I wore two cuffs to give me the upper hand on the audience.
- I hate to admit it, but I really like Jay, Scott, and a few other liberal bloggers. OK, I don’t “hate” to admit it, but I thought you should know.
- Every time I have a chance to share time with Tom McMahon, I am humbled. What a fantastic human being.
- Nick has some pictures here.
- Mike Gousha is a classy, classy guy. I had never met him in person before and he lived up to his reputation. Milwaukee needs more guys like him.
- As usual, the after-party was the best. I was able to share beer and conversation with a gaggle of bloggers, both liberal and not so liberal. I really enjoy those gatherings.
OK, I’m off to give some kids some baths. Thanks, everyone, for the great time. I look forward to the next gathering.
UPDATE: Here’s the Wispolitics summary.
