I’m sitting at dinner and Ari is about to speak.
He is giving some biographical stories.
He’s a very good speaker (duh). He’s telling about his 1st day at the White House.
Now, he’s talking about being with Bush during 9/11.
He is telling us how hard the job of press secretary is, but how rewarding it is because of the places he went, things he saw, and people he met.
He’s pitching his book.
Ari is telling us of a story about Bush and the Middle East. Bush met with an Arab leader in secret in 2002 and told him that Yassir Arafat could not be part of the solution for Middle East peace. I wonder who it was.
BTW - we had a rubber chicken and rice for dinner. It’s hot as hell in this room. There may be an elephant stampede soon.
Back to Ari… he is reminding us that the capability of Saddam to produce WMDs was proven beyond a doubt. He is comparing it to the fact that if people had stood up to Hitler in the 1930’s, we could have averted WWII, just as toppling Saddam may have averted another world war.
The laptop that was running the GOP graphics on the wall just went into standby mode. Oops.
Now Ari is saying that every judicial nominee deserves a vote.
Kevin is live blogging too.
Ari is rallying the grass roots troops now.
He’s all done now.
