Ann Coulter Engages in Grotesque Attack on Edwards

Here is the video of Ann Coulter basically calling John Edwards a “faggot.” 

I, for one, utterly reject Coulter’s shameful and childish attack.  It was uncalled for and completely reprehensible.  Furthermore, it does absolutely nothing but hurt the causes that she purports to support because her grade school remarks are the only thing that will be reported out of CPAC, thus saddling the entire conservative movement with her prattle.  Also, the children in the audience who applauded her remarks should hang their heads in shame.  Most of them were college kids.  Coulter has already lost more mature conservatives.  Hopefully, they will grow out of their hero worship of Coulter and begin to take their espoused philosophy seriously. 

I must say that I am proud of my conservative brethren here.  I am seeing an immense push back against Coulter’s remarks from the stalwarts in the conservative community.  (Sean Hackbarth at The American Mind is cataloging some of it.)  Coulter is already ostracized by much of the conservative movement, and her remarks of this week will only isolate her further.  She has no place in the serious conservative community.
