A Few Random Thoughts On A Sunday Afternoon

After my detailed analysis of the mainstream media, I’ve decided that I’m not hot enough to be gay.

Furthermore, I’m not hot enough to have an affair, because I could never again convince a woman as perfect as Wendy to marry me again.

Speaking of hot, Christina Aguilera has the best female voice in music today.  I like her ‘40s look much better than her slut look.

I see that Chirac is bowing out of politics.  I thought he bowed out of serious politics years ago.

On launch.yahoo.com, the first six videos that they are recommending to me are Dixie Chicks songs.  I think that their algorithm needs an adjustment.

I watched Flag of our Fathers yesterday.  Ironically, I enjoyed the acting and the story, but didn’t like the directing.  I usually like Eastwood films.

I took a couple of my daughters to the rifle range this weekend and we plinked a bit with the .22.  It was nice that it was warm enough to do it.  I enjoyed it and at least one of my daughters had a great time.

Martina McBride can sure sing, but I hate most of her songs.

Why do they still use boom microphones for the NASCAR announcers?  It looks goofy when better, and more discreet, technology exists.

Doesn’t it seem like campaign finance reform initiatives only serve to discourage more honest people from seeking elected office?

I’ve seen Mark Wahlberg in quite a few movies now.  I actually enjoy him.  But I have yet to be able to watch him without thinking of that scene in Boogie Nights.

I prefer moving snow to mowing the lawn.  Less square footage.

I’m convinced that I’m an arrogant ass.  But I’m working on it.  My children have a way of humbling me.

I recently came to the realization that my dad died the same day as the Goliad massacre.  Coincidence?  Um… yep.

If the federal government were forced to pay interest on tax refunds (overpaid taxes), I think it would be a step in the right direction.

My favorite commercial airport in America (I’ve been through most of them) is Pittsburgh.  I’m not completely sure why.  I just like it.

I’m due for a new pair of tennis shoes.  And a new shotgun.

I’m in the mood for a nice calzone.
